On 29 November – 1 December, BALIHT was present at Enlit Europe 2022, a major energy fair taking place this year in Frankfurt, Germany. During those 3 days, more than 15.000 attendees were able to assist high-level conferences and walk around the exhibition aisles.
BALIHT representatives held a stand in a dedicated EU Projects Zone, along with other 50 EU-funded projects on renewables and energy-related issues. Our partners Aliénor, Schunk and ETRA provided information and explanation on our project to the attendees visiting the stand. Our team highlighted the manifold advantages of organic redox flow batteries for large-scale energy storage, a crucial element of a climate neutral Europe.
The organisers also invited our representatives to deliver a speech during a public session on “Renewables and storage”. It was an opportunity to show how BALIHT battery aims at providing a solution for a green and secure energy grid, by integrating renewable energy with a battery with high safety and environmental standards.
Visitors and attendees showed great interest in the BALIHT project, raising technical questions and curiosity among them.
Aliénor is a Brussels-based consultancy specialised in European affairs and oversees the project’s communication and dissemination activities.
ETRA I+D (Spain) is the high-tech unit within ETRA Group, responsible for the development and implementation of an energy management system in the BALIHT redox flow battery.
Schunk Kohlenstofftechnik GmbH (Germany) oversees the development of the separator and electrode materials of the battery, as the company is specialised in high-tech applications of carbon and graphite materials.
